Mid/Senior Headless CMS Developer

About Us

NetMidas is a software development company based in Cali since 2007. We have produced websites and web applications for a broad range of clients, including large multinationals (including Apple), startups and international NGOs, as well as our own products. Now we are looking for an ambitious Frontend or Fullstack developer to work directly with an exciting US client.

About our Client

The client is a Brooklyn digital agency that solely focuses on web design and web development. Their clients include some of the hottest startups and digital businesses (for example 1, 2, 3)

The client is looking for help building high performance websites that follow industry best practices. It doesn’t matter if you consider yourself a frontend, backend or full stack developer; if you meet the requirements below then we are interested in speaking with you. This is an outstanding opportunity to work remotely for amazing companies, an international team (US, Slovakia, Serbia, Colombia) and well known brands. This role will start in March 2023.

Requirements

Frontend

Must Haves: 

• Headless CMS: ideally STRAPI or PRISMIC
• HTML & CSS
• Javascript: Vue, React, Next or similar
• Performance tuning, analysis: Gtmetrix or Lighthouse or similar
• Experience building user authentication, user dashboards, subscriptions, payment gateway, forums, 3rd parties, easy to scale.
• Enthusiasm, energy, passion and great communication skills

Nice to Haves:

• GSAP animations

Backend:

Must Haves: 

• Experience with frameworks and who is able to develop custom functionalities on top of these frameworks. 
• Able to do server side setup, maintenance, optimizations
• Experience with API's.

Soft skills:

• Good enough level of English to sustain conversations with the client team.
• A sense of high interest for animations (specially G SAP animations).
• An emphasis on clean code as a high priority.
• A consultant’s mindset. Assume nothing you find has to be the way it is. Ability to keep eyes open for better/easier/simpler/cheaper ways of doing things, recommend them, and oversee improvements.
• Comfortable researching and testing solutions and best practices, and able to find the most efficient solution for the selected task
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous and dynamic environments.
• Understand that some projects demand enterprise/hardened development, others a looser get-it-done approach, and others a mix — and know when each is appropriate.
• Previous experience as a remote team member.
• Fun, easy going, and service-centered heart.

• Experience working both on client projects as a consultant as well as direct product development.
• Basic exposure to full-stack ecosystems. 

Compensation, Contract, Terms

• This is a full-time role
• 34-38 USD per hour depending on experience, paid monthly.
• Contract: freelance (prestación de servicios) with our company in US.
• This is a remote position and you will work in the Colombia time zone.
