NetMidas is a software development company based in Cali since 2007. We have produced websites and web applications for a broad range of clients, including large multinationals (including Apple), startups and international NGOs, as well as our own products. Now we are looking for a SQL Developer to work directly with an exciting US client.

Position summary

Join our dynamic team as a Senior SQL Developer and play a pivotal role in an e-commerce project with far-reaching implications. The project's primary goal is to make recommendations/fixes to enhance our client's production environment while ensuring stability and efficiency. Your expertise will be vital in shaping the future of this critical system and setting the foundation for further work.

Requirements

Must Haves:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with SQL development, including a deep understanding of query optimization techniques.
• High Ability to communicate in English (Proficiency Required) 
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related area of study or equivalent work experience.
• Proven ability to design, build, and maintain databases, ensuring stability and performance.
• Proficiency in creating program views, functions, and stored procedures to streamline system processes.
• Expertise in crafting efficient SQL queries, facilitating seamless integration with diverse applications.
• Open-minded, adaptable and passionate about learning
• Highly motivated and able to work independently and as part of a high performing team.
• Strong communication skills, as collaboration and effective communication are crucial within our team and with clients.

You will:

• As a Senior SQL Developer, you will lead the charge in all facets of database design, creation, and maintenance. 
• You'll be part of a small, geographically dispersed team collaborating across the US, fostering teamwork while contributing your individual expertise.
• Building robust and reliable databases, rigorously testing and validating their stability and performance.
• Crafting program views, functions, and stored procedures that contribute to seamless system operations.
• Formulating optimized SQL queries that seamlessly integrate with other applications, facilitating a unified user experience.

Compensation, Contract, Terms

• 3 Months Contract (with potential for extension): Freelance (prestación de servicios) with our company in US.
• Full-Time
• Ideal Start Date: Immediate
• Compensation: $30 USD per hour
