L3 Support Engineer (Java)

About Us
NetMidas is a software development company based in Cali since 2007. We have produced websites and web applications for a broad range of clients, including large multinationals (including Apple), startups and international NGOs, as well as our own products. Now we are looking for a seasoned L3 Support Engineer to work directly with an exciting international client.
Requirements
Must Haves
- Ability to communicate in English (Professional Proficiency B2/C1/C2)
- 4+ years of development experience with Java and/or NodeJs
- 4+ years in software development
- Typescript proficient
- Hands-on experience with Incident Management & Problem Solving
- Investigation work experience
- Familiarity with code and troubleshooting
- Mid-level experience in modern web application frameworks, eg: Angular, Vue, React, Svelte
- RDBMS eg: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, etc
- Google Suite, JIRA & Product Board Intermediate to advanced experience
Nice to haves
- Spring Boot (Java)
- Java JPA
- Swagger/OpenApi (Java)
- Neo4j or similar graph database
- Previous exposure to AWS application development
- Messages Queues, eg: RabbitMQ, SQS, Kafka
- Previous work experience in a DevOps environment
You will
- Train and mentor Level 2 Engineers to build a L3 pipeline
- Implement data migrations
- Support and apply product optimizations
- Work with a distributed team to define and implement best practices and standards

Compensation, Contract, Terms
- USD 30 per hour, paid monthly
- Contract: 12+ months with possibility of extension, freelance (prestación de servicios) with our client
- Full time. Based on Chilean working hours. Depending on client needs, there may be some after-hours / weekend work
- Start date: Oct 2023.
