About NetMidas

How does NetMidas achieve 99% retention?
We match for long-term fit from the first screen, pay competitively against international benchmarks, run monthly 1-on-1s with every contractor, and maintain career development support. Retention is treated as an ongoing service, not a KPI we measure once a year.
Where are your professionals based?
Across all Latin America hubs, with deep coverage in Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Peru, and Bolivia. Our headquarters is in Cali, Colombia. NetMidas was founded in 2007.
What time zones do your professionals work in?
All US time zones. Full workday overlap with US business hours is standard, not optional.
Who are your clients?
Apple, Bank of America, Macmillan Publishers, Scientific American, USA Today, Cygnus Cross, Backbase, Fountain City, MyPass Global, Freedom Marine, and others.
How is NetMidas different from Toptal, Turing, or Andela?
We are not a marketplace. We do not prioritize placement speed over stability. We focus exclusively on Latin America, run a tight senior screen, cover the operating layer, and stay engaged after the hire. Our model optimizes for retention, not transaction volume.

Hiring with Talent

How fast can I hire?
First qualified candidates are typically presented in under 10 business days after the discovery call and kickoff. Placement usually happens within 15–20 business days.
What is the $2,000 kickoff?
A $2,000 upfront payment that activates sourcing. The full amount is credited to your first month of service. It is not a deposit or a fee on top.
Are your engineers senior?
Yes. We do not run junior pipelines. Every engineering placement has production experience and meets a B2+ English bar.
How does NetMidas handle contracts, payroll, and IP?
Agreements are structured through our US corporation. Payroll is administered through Deel. IP clauses are designed to protect client interests. Insurance is maintained. Full coverage is included in the engagement.
What engagement models do you offer?
Staff augmentation, direct hire, and contract-to-hire. Pick the one that fits.
What if the hire does not work out?
Replacement support is included in our SLA. The monthly check-in rhythm is designed to surface problems before they become exits.
Which industries do you serve?
AI and ML, fintech, conservation tech, marine tech, ecommerce, publishing, enterprise SaaS, and cybersecurity for tech roles. Operations and support roles span any industry.

Hiring non-tech roles

Do you only place engineers, or also non-tech roles?
Both. Engineering is our deepest specialization, but we also place senior operations, design, product, and customer-facing professionals across the LATAM network.
What non-tech roles do you place?
Executive Assistants, Project Managers, Accountants, Bookkeepers, Customer Support Specialists, Help Desk technicians, Operations Managers, Office Coordinators, and UX/UI Designers, among others. If you have a role we have not placed before, ask.
What is the screening difference for tech versus non-tech roles?
Tech roles include a Technical Assignment plus two rounds of interviews. Non-tech roles go through structured behavioral interviews, role-specific scenario testing where relevant (e.g., calendar coordination tests for EAs, bookkeeping case work for accountants), and reference checks. English proficiency (B2+) and cultural compatibility are screened in both tracks.
Are non-tech roles also LATAM-based and US-time-zone aligned?
Yes. Every NetMidas placement, tech or non-tech, comes from our Latin America network. Full US business-hour overlap is standard for every role we place.
Is the pricing structure different for non-tech roles?
The engagement model is identical: $2,000 kickoff (credited to month one), monthly billing, US contractual framework, payroll through Deel. Salary benchmarks are role-specific.
Can I hire an Executive Assistant or Customer Support team through NetMidas?
Yes. We staff individual EAs, full support teams, and operations functions for US companies. Same screening rigor as engineering hires.

Building with Studio

How fast can Studio start?
After the discovery call and signed Brief, the build kicks off the next business day. Discovery itself is Week 1; you have a working foundation by end of Week 2.
What happens if I want changes mid-build?
Every post-Brief feature request gets transparent pricing and a Phase 2 conversation. Small clarifications are absorbed; new scope is priced separately. No surprises.
Who owns the code?
You do. Full IP transfer on handover. No lock-in, no dependencies on our infrastructure.
Can I hire the team after the build?
Often, yes. If you want to retain the engineers who built your product, we move them to a Talent engagement at standard rates. No conversion fee.
What tech stacks do you work in?
Decided during the Discovery Sprint based on the product. Recent builds use Next.js, Supabase, Vercel, and modern JS ecosystems. We are stack-agnostic where it matters.
What if my idea does not fit your model?
We will tell you on the discovery call. If your scope is over $50k of complexity, under-defined, or better served by hiring direct, we will say so. Honest fit beats a forced engagement.
How is this different from Toptal or a freelance marketplace?
Marketplaces send you people. Studio ships you a product, on a fixed price, with PM and design wrapped in. Different unit of delivery.
Do you take equity instead of cash?
No. Cash-only. We are not your co-founder.
What is the PMF Readiness Report?
A document delivered at handover that maps your product against validation milestones: what to look for as signal, what counts as failure, and what to instrument to know which is happening. It is not a guarantee, it is a structured way to read your first 30–90 days of user behavior.
Can you help with distribution or marketing?
Not directly. We can introduce you to vetted partners for paid acquisition, content, and developer relations. The Studio engagement ends at handover; growth is its own discipline.
